WHAT'S MY NAME? blatta!

Lo SCARAFAGGIO NERO (Blatta Orientalis)

 è il tipico insetto che si può ritrovare nelle cantine o nei luoghi bui e umidi, esce di sera e zampetta qua e là per cercare da mangiare (non è schizzinoso, mangia un po' di tutto). La sua presenza nella propria cantina non è di buon auspicio perchè può portare malattie e allergie. 

 Ma non lo disprezzate solo per la sua reputazione poco benevola, se volete mettervi nei suoi panni prendete in mano il capolavoro di Franz Kafka: LA METAMORFOSI (in cui il protagonista si ritrova una mattina tramutato proprio in un enorme scarafaggio, con grande disgusto e parapiglia della famiglia e della società).

Elaborazione di un poster per la scuola che illustra le varie fasi della digestione. 

Per chi è ragazzo/a alle scuole primarie e medie 

è un modo per imparare divertendosi, 

per chi invece le scuole le ha già passate da un pezzo 

è un'occasione per mettere alla prova la memoria

... chi si ricorda tutti i nomi dell'apparato digerente??

 COME MI CHIAMO?

Il PUNTERUOLO DEL GRANO  (Sitophilus Granarius)
è un piccolo insettino grande appena pochi millimetri, ha la caratteristica (come altri insetti chiamati Punteruoli) di avere in cima alla testa una sorta di proboscide, che è la bocca dei piccolo insetto e gli conferisce un aspetto un po' buffo. Alcuni punteruoli hanno una testa lunga quanto l'intero corpo!

Questo piccolo insetto riesce a fare molti danni alle coltivazioni dei cereali, anche se la sua bocca è minuscola e non ha le ali per spostarsi velocemente in compenso ha una grandissima fame!

Ricordi d'estate

 Mi ricordo...

...mi ricordo quest'estate:caldo, caldissimo. 

Rumori di campagna: il frinire (fri-fri) assordante delle cicale, qualche uccellino che cinguetta in lontananza, e ad un certo punto un rumore di un piccolo elicottero che si alza in volo. Forte. Vicino. 

Che cos'è??

Mi metto a cercare nell'erba alta, ed eccolo lì: uno splendido coleottero verde (Cetonia Aurata). Enorme! è lungo circa 2 cm. e per essere un piccolo insetto mi pare proprio enorme. Non ne avevo mai visto uno prima di allora. E' davvero bellissimo con quel colore verde metallizzato, la luce rimbalza sopra e gli fa cambiare continuamente sfumature. Ma è un insetto molto timido, il tempo di fare due foto ricordo e subito riparte con quel battito d'ali che sembra si alzi in volo un trattore.

Meraviglie della natura.

Learning with DIY: 

THE SKELETAL APPARATUS!

Here a little project to do with children,
at school or at home, they all having fun :-)

You need: cardboard, white pencil, scissor, some Paper Fastener and a bit of yarn.  

And, of course, an image of the skeletal apparatus to copy on the cardboard.

First: draw your skeleton, color it with white, then cut out it and 
assemble all the pieces with the Paper Fastener. 

At last insert the yarn as the tendons. 

What's the function of skeleton & tendons? how their operate?

 Try to move the arm of your skeleton model pulling or stretching the tendon... look! 
As you can see, the bones supports the "body" and they can move thank to the tendons (and muscles!). Tendons often work together but in opposite mode: 
when one is tense the opposite is extended.
Ok, you have finish!

 Now you can explain the operation of skeletal apparatus even to your granma :-P
